Wireless communication is the fast growing segment of the communication industry. Antennas are the major components in the revolution of wireless communication. As a wirelesses engineer it is must to have a basic level of understanding from early Marconi antennas to present day smart antennas used in communication industry. If the wireless technology advances towards future needs of high data rate applications, the new generation antennas.
The objective of this workshop is to present how the antenna design concepts can be applied to analyse the performance of practical antenna by using hands on training with antenna design tools.
This course is addressed to Research scholars Faculties working in engineering institutions, UG/ PG students, working professionals and practicing engineers seeking a thorough understanding of advanced antenna design concepts and hands on experience on ADS 2011 & EMPro 2011.

Recent years have witnessed a dramatic increase in our ability to collect heterogeneous data from various sources like sensors, devices, independent and connected applications. This data flood has outpaced our capability to process, analyze, store and understand these datasets. Rapid expansion of internet data accelerated by the dramatic increase in acceptance of social networking applications allows users to create contents freely and amplify the already huge Web volume. Furthermore, mobile phones are becoming the sensory gateway to get real-time data on people. Trillions of connected components including people and devices will generate a huge data ocean. It is essential to discover valuable information from the data to help improve quality of life and make our world a better place. Significant challenges faced in leveraging the vast amount of data include challenges in system capabilities, algorithmic design and business models.
This workshop aims to bring together people from both academia and industry to discuss on big-data issues, case studies, tools and platforms and exchange ideas and thoughts in order to advance this big-data challenge. The workshop will be beneficial for academicians and PG students who are working on large scale data mining and real world problems.
